Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and writer who was awarded numerous prizes. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 72 are among her most acclaimed films. The desire to become an artist was in part influenced by her family background in the New York family of artists. Beginning, she worked as a assistant in photography. Then, her career shifted into directing and modeling. She was noticed in her two first films and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Popular Newcomer. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was a huge hit that brought the world to her, as well as an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. The film was recognized as the most successful female box-office star of the world in just three releases. In Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she was able to have her signature and hand-footprints engraved. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Her autobiography, published in 1991 Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw was married three times.
